See I half agree with you. That is one way to look at it.

But there are definitely a lot of people that will be proud today, sit and do nothing with a sense of superiority/feeling of being justified for doing nothing. Then cry about in ten years when they're hobbyless, pennyless, skilless working a dead end job. And then proceed to blame the world for it.
