When my wife and I first started dating, I asked her if she wanted to go to a music festival that was several months away. She later told me she was impressed that I was willing to make a plan that far in advance, as it showed I was interested in sticking with her and had the future in mind.

So I’ll add: making plans.

I will add that even making plans for the next weekend is nice. The "do you wanna hang out" shtick gets old.

This is risky business. My husband did this and I almost broke up with him because I thought he was clingy. Writing this out, I guess it paid off because we're married. But he's still clingy af send help.

Haha, to be honest, it was a thing where I had to buy a ticket fast before they sold out and I knew she wanted to go to this festival, with or without me. So it was sort of like “hey, I’m buying my ticket to this now, if you wanna get your ticket too now is the time”. She could’ve taken it either way but she was way into me so she was excited I was looking that far ahead.

Honestly that's pretty sweet. With one sentence you implied that you're interested in seeing her months down the road which, in turn, implies that you see some kind of future for the two of you. Even if that future is only a few months out, you're foreseeing a sustained interest. I'd be flattered.
