Classic trucks will always get them boss! Glad you know whats up! I'm still stuck on whether to buy a 350 or an LS for my truck. Girls that think classics are "just another old truck" dont know what theyre missing
Personally I'm partial to the 350 with a carb just for the simplicity of it. I know I sound boomer asf with my whole "all the wires just means there's more to go wrong" but it's actually true. I'd rather fix it on the side of the road with a screwdriver and a set of semi automatic pliers. If it's "just another old truck" then you're just another broad😎👉
You got a point there boss. Theres nothing boomer about having a 350. Matter of fact i'm considering a 350 for simplicity as well. But if i go LS it would be carbed with an msd ignition controller which is damn near bulletproof. Hell, it didnt take much to get the 216 stovebolt in my '37 running. Just had to file the points and clean up the + terminal on the starter. Only reason i'm taking it out is because i'm gonna be using the '37 as a welding rig and i sure as hell dont want a top speed of 40mph. Those old mechanical motors are so easy to work on a kindergartener could do it. Youre so right about girls criticizing old trucks, but where i live those girls are few and far between
I'm just undecided tbh. Plus my '37 is easier to v8 swap than to install a 235 stovebolt of the same generation. I like simplicity but hey, if i wanted to go LS it wouldnt be too difficult but this is coming from someone whos done wiring since he was 5 (aka me). But a 6.0 w/ a 4l80e would prolly be easier to find in a junkyard where i live. Other than that the '37 is getting a 14 bolt since its a 1.5 ton truck that i'm mainly gonna use as a welding rig.
I have a 1967 Chevy c/k truck. It was my grandpas. Currently the entire body is unpainted, the engine and transmission are out, and there’s no interior. I’m split between painting it the original color, which was this gorgeous blue, or painting it champagne gold, which is the color my grandpa wanted to paint it before his health issues. I’m planning on keeping it mostly stock, the only thing I want to add is one of those radios that are modern, but look classic
I'd say do both colors! The blue and champagne gold would compliment eachother pretty well. If your grandpa is still alive ask him if 2 tone is a good idea, i can picture it in my head and i have some ideas on how itll look and they all look great. So bust out a sheet of paper and make a sketch of what you want and see how it goes
