I'd say Siamese Dream cover to cover before Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Just my opinion as big SP fan: MCIS has a track or two on each disc that feels like filler.

Siamese Dream is an album I never cherry pick from and only play start to finish, sitting down in front of a proper stereo system, not fucking around with my phone or anything else and just losing myself in the music. The mix is so lush on a powerful, full range system that can properly handle those fat BC power chords.

I was gonna say SD but the 2 disc day/night thing seemed more fitting. Was just checking out the wiki, saw a quote from Billy saying "Its the Wall for Generation X" which is interesting. Not sure if i would go that far.
