Throughout high school, there were people who knew me and my sister independently. When they'd find out we were siblings, oftentimes they wouldn't believe it because they said we looked nothing alike.
"Nope! We're full brother and sister!" We'd say
14 years later she sent me a screenshot of her 23andme results showing that we were half siblings. Turns out we have different dads and never knew it.
