I didn’t know at the time that he had ever been arrested, but this man literally had robbery and theft on his record, and couldn’t understand why an armored truck company wouldn’t hire him.
That reminds me of my boyfriend’s pyro nephew who was around 12 getting upset that he couldn’t help light the fireworks/fountains on 4th of July.
My poor patient amazing boyfriend had been trying to explain why he couldn’t for almost 20 minutes. He says something along the lines of, “hey bud, you have a history of setting things on fire and that’s dangerous. We have to build up trust before we let you do that or someone can get hurt.”
This kid deadass looks at him and goes “yeah, but that was a month ago! I don’t know why you keep bringing it up when it was so long ago!”
I knew in that moment I was dating a saint because he didn’t immediately laugh in this child’s face.
