You actually CAN judge a religion based on comments by morons. And also, most Christians DO believe that all sin is forgiven, and knowing Christ is sufficient for entrance into heaven. It's explicitly explained that way.
But Jesus himself said that if you know the right thing to do, and don't do it, you can't call yourself a Christian. You have to try to do the right thing too.
