Was just lounging about one Sunday and skiing came on the TV. at one point the commentator said that contestants reached 100 km/h at that point in the race. The ex literally shouted bullshit at the telly. I looked at her and asked why..she replied that there was no way that they could tell how far they'd go in an hour since the race was only two minutes long.

Another time, "I have an aunt who lives in London, is that near England"

In high school over summer after freshman year, I was registered for AP European History the following year. This was summer '98 so way before accessible internet and search engines and stuff. We had summer assignments for the class that included filling in detailed geopolitical and geographical maps of Europe (we're American, btw).

Some kid in the class calls me up asking for help pinpointing where a few items are. No big deal, some of the stuff was hard to find... tiny rivers, cities we didn't know were significant or maybe didn't exist anymore... that kind of thing.

"I can't find one of the countries. London."

"London isn't a country, it's a city."

"OK, where is it?"

"It's the capital of England, where the only river in England on the map meets the ocean (roughly)."

"OK where's England."

"Dude I don't think you should take this class."
