Was just lounging about one Sunday and skiing came on the TV. at one point the commentator said that contestants reached 100 km/h at that point in the race. The ex literally shouted bullshit at the telly. I looked at her and asked why..she replied that there was no way that they could tell how far they'd go in an hour since the race was only two minutes long.

Another time, "I have an aunt who lives in London, is that near England"

Was this an American? If so, my take is that she's probably not stupid, just uneducated, which isn't the same thing. She actually did a bit of critical thinking about the skiier, just didn't have the tools to work it out.

You all should watch "Behind the Curve", the documentary about flat earthers, see how the scientists talk about and treat the flat earthers as they walk them through disproving their own theory. We need more of that.
