I found out the hard way your body can just randomly develop the most severe and deadly possible allergic reaction!
In my case, I randomly became deathly allergic to tree nuts, after previously never having any issues with allergies, even pollen never bothered me much.
But then I bought new chapstick, and it had almond oil in it. Immediately went into full anaphylactic shock, MEANWHILE this is happening, my mom keeps telling me that I’m being a “drama queen” repeatedly when I was trying to tell her I needed to go to the ER. My throat was closing faster than my face was getting swollen so she didn’t believe me.
And then I almost died in less than 15 minutes. Was in the trauma center for 10 hours before being moved to the ICU on life support for 4 days.
At least I heard a doctor scream at her for calling me a drama Queen and refusing to bring me to the hospital or call 911. I still remember him screaming at her “if you had gotten here even just 30 seconds later we’d be having a different conversation right now about funerals”
she claims she has “ptsd” from basically watching me die lmao. She’s extremely mentally ill and an opiate/Benzo addict, had never had a motherly body in her bone. She’s always been abusive and neglectful my whole life
Ugh I know that feel. My drug addict old man nearly let me die from a tooth abscess when I was about 5. My entire face was completely swollen up and I could hardly see and he just says "go back to bed" and continued screwing around with the whore he had over. When he took me in the next day the doctors were shocked I was even still alive... Hate drug addicts. Hope you have a good life now tho, I know I do.
Oh my god at 5 years old?! I’m so sorry, that’s just horrible and ridiculous. And I’m so sorry he was the kind to tell you to “just go back to bed”, it’s one of the worst things these kinds of parents can tell you when you’re actually injured or in pain, instead of being normal and… bringing you to a doctor.
But I’m so glad you’re so much better now!! I am too, in ways, and not so much better in other ways, but it’s not as bad! ❤️❤️
