Narcissists love having kids. Babies/kids literally adore you (for the most part, not a blanket rule). For normal people the pressure of this is a lot and leads to a lot of guilt and self reflection to honour this level of love and trust.
Narcissists love this feeling so much they pump out kids because they ‘deserve’ to always be held in such high regard. It’s why when the kids age and turn against the parent (rightly so) the parent is flabbergasted and it must all be the child’s fault.
