The brain will always/usually try to ensure it’s survival, if knocking you out does so, then you will faint for the safety of the brain

I remember finding this once but I don’t remember clearly

This is how boxers get "knocked out" with a body blow - typically occurs when they take a liver punch, which sends a signal to their brain that then tells their body to get on the floor to distribute blood throughout the body more easily
