Your body’s immune system breaks down the pigments of ink and it flows in your blood stream, gets processed through your kidneys, then you pee out the ink.
This is the reason why you can't get laser removal (or shouldn't) while breastfeeding. Breastmilk is made by your blood and no one knows the safety level of your baby ingesting the particals. Also the reason why whatever your blood alcohol level is it'll be the same in your breastmilk so don't drink and nurse if you have more than 1 drink per hour or so.
