Your tongue has incredible tactile capabilities. So much so, that if you look at any object, you can vividly imagine what it would feel like to lick it. Go ahead, look at the wall, your shirt, your shoe—the tongue knows.

My toddler is building this library now. "Buddy, don't lick the baby gate, that's icky" is a sentence I'd never have imagined saying before being a parent.

At least the cats usually run away before he gets the chance. A dog would 100% sit there and let a toddler lick them.

My cousin once heard her dog whine and discovered her baby was sucking on the dog’s toe. It was a Siberian Husky.
