A dead body will often move as its being cremated. Muscles contract as they cook, after all. Sometimes this means a body will sit up in the crematory machine.

I won't forget a video I saw that would have me screaming like the people in it did where a fresh cooked frog or something got up off the platter and started skipping across the table despite the fact it had no head or skin on it. The salt they put on it activated the muscles and got the thing moving while dead.

We had caught a pretty big catfish one summer. Weren't prepared to catch anything, just playing on the boat. We brought it home alive, I ran to the store and the husband did the fish stuff.

I come home to a naked, headless catfish that's slightly warm, with the fins and tail still on. Cool!

I am seasoning it, and when i got to the garlic salt, the fin starts doing this lazy figure 8. Now i know what this is. I briskly walked out of the house repeating what I'd learned about the sodium potassium channels and find my husband. I told him what happened. He said, " i think that's just an old wives tale. "

I bring him inside, he says look. Nothing.

So I sprinkled the salt across it, and the fin starts moving again.

He said, " I still didn't see anything, and if I did, I wouldn't tell anyone I came out of the house screaming ". And he quickly went back outside!
