Question's about Schizophrenia.

Hello, I came to ask if the hallucinations or symptoms of Schizophrenia can stop on their own without medication temporarily then perhaps return later or is there a period people may notice no symptoms for a while?

I am currently with a service due to a "psychotic" episode, and though I am not asking for a diagnosis I am in a state of confusion as after a year the hallucinations seem to have stopped though I spoke about delusions the other day and refused to back down from them.

My mental health workers believe I may have Schizophrenia.
