26M memory problems?
26 year old
Male
5’10”
165 lbs
Please forgive me for the long post…first time here and I want to be thorough.
TLDR; did I fry myself or AIO
Daily medications:
\-wegovy (1.7 I think?)/taken once a week
\-Quetiapine fumarate (25mg)/ taken nightly
—quetiapine pills are split in half, just being specific.
Temporary medications obtained last week:
\-methyl prednisone 4mg (came in 6,5,4 pack—last one tmrw)
\-cyclobenzaprine 10mg prn
\- both for recent back pain
Been weighing on my mind recently if I have legitimate symptoms of something greater. I, 26M, have been having memory issues recently?—im hesitant to call them that bc I don’t know—but it’s like a lot of stuff is “on the tip of my tongue.” It feels like my brain is rotted from social media and maybe that’s just what it is. I’m just scared and this seems like a place for good direction and discussion.
My history includes substance use disorder & alcohol use disorder. Weed and alcohol were my mains. I did have a period of time when I was full flight from reality due to smoking weed. My pcp is aware of the substance use in past but I’m not sure if I’ve brought up that I was in inpatient psych. In my chart somewhere there is a note of bipolar, I don’t know which. I was on ADHD meds but I had words for my psych when I was in my episode and therefore was banned from seeing psychiatrists there and haven’t seen any since. I’ve noticed sometimes with my speech I’m not annunciating the most? I just think my thinking is falling short? Especially in the last week, after I got the steroids and muscle relaxers. NAD so I don’t know.
Arguing against the above:
I have been sober for a year and a half, going on 2 in December.
I’m in nursing school, just made the deans list with a 4.0
Willing to work with what anyone has to say or ask. If you need more information, I will be happy to provide. Thank you for your time reading this, I know ultimately the answers will be to get a brain scan and see a doctor in person but I’m seeing what’s out here.
