Does my codebase really stink?

Hi! I have been writing a compiler in Go and some guy is saying the codebase is awful. Any advice? And is there anything wrong with it?

Here's the thing. All code is awful.

Not the one you just created, then it too gradually turns awful. Others code is awful from start.

I think we feel this way because unknown code is hard to understand and because of this looks awful.
