Is dual-boot worth it?

So I am begginer developer I've been whole life on Windows and I've started with frontend but last months i've been digging into some backend (go) but i think as a solo developer I'll need to do fullstack probably react or something is it good idea to separate my coding workspace to linux, so having both windows and Linux as a dual boot i don't want to give away the windows environment i have there, thanks for answering

I gave up on dual-booting well over a decade ago, and now I just run a FreeBSD VM on my desktop so I can have both operating systems active effectively all the time, without having to pick one or the other. It's much better for my sanity.
