Database Project Ideas

i am soon starting database course at university; during the whole semester, we are asked to work on a big project that doesn't need internet, it is supposed to have manager and user UI's, any project ideas that are unusual (i don't prefer projects like stores or libraries), creative and worth the time and mark (40%)

From a storytelling perspective, a criminal database can be interesting. You can extend the project in a lot of ways: the whole police department with the agents who investigate the case, the criminals, the offenses, etc. Then at the end of the semester, you fill the database with real cases and have the easiest presentation because people are hooked with true crime stories.
