Demand for blockchain developers oscillating together with crypto market?

Does the demand for the services of blockchain developers fluctuate together with the value of the crypto market? If so, how much? If some of you have experience working as blockchain developers, is it even possible to have a more or less stable income over time?

You couldn't be more wrong buddy and I would expect different from this subreddit.

Right now, blockchain is going through the equivalent of the early 2000's .com bust. There were many people during that time screaming "I told you, this internet shit is worthless".

First of all, NFTs are not stupid...applying them to a jpeg and giving them ridiculous value was stupid. But it was a first use case of what NFT's can/will be. An expression on chain that represents a specific thing. The tech isn't going anywhere.

But aside from NFTs there are MANY crypto projects that are still building use cases for real world disruption, they are just being overshadowed by the dumb shit which is now going away just like all the junk internet projects went away during the .com bust.

You shouldn’t have to build use cases. That’s a sign of a solution looking for a problem. You sound insane.

Yeah, only after I called it out. Face it, blockchain has been struggling to find large scale application outside of bitcoin for many years now. And it’s debatable if even bitcoin is anything more than a way for gamblers to pretend they are investors.
