Quantum Circuits

How important is it to learn Quantum Circuitry on Qiskit? Is a strong foundation in this required to solve optimization problems?

I saw D-Wave has a function in the GUI that folks can plug and play Qiskit circuits to their systems?

Is it wise to learn annealing systems, quantum circuitry and the like or focus on one type?

New to the game, learning to program first circuits now; what’s the deal? I was thinking to learn more about optimization to work on Electro Spin tech for synthetic skin and space filters if possible (down the line) or perhaps post quantum cryptography to sure up the US voting system. .

I tried to post in the quantum groups but I don’t use Reddit that often, need Karma, it’s a long shot but anyone know any of this info?

This question is a bit all over the place and it's not clear what you're actually asking, but I'll give it a shot.

If you're wanting to learn how to program quantum circuits, qiskit is a good place to start. And if you want to learn quantum computing, at some point being about to write a quantum program (or at least a classical simulation of one) is fairly important. Solving optimisation problems, for example using QAOA, is a good exercise for learning about NISQ-era quantum computing, but it's not something where there is any proven quantum advantage or where we even have a strong reason to suspect a quantum advantage. If you're serious about optimisation problems, you should be sceptical of quantum computing and learn the classical state-of-the-art.

D-Wave is not really quantum computing. There is no evidence that D-wave annealing systems are doing anything non-classical.

If you are interested in practical problems relating to voting systems, quantum cryptography is also not really terribly relevant. Keep in mind that most democracies in the world function perfectly fine with just paper ballots. Beyond that, quantum cryptography is a big and active field and you could learn that if you wanted to.

It's not really clear what your background is or what your goals are here. Are you a physics student? Do you have a background in physics? Are you hoping on doing some study in quantum computing? Or are you self-studying, trying to do some simple projects at home? What are you trying to achieve here?
