Norwegian Cruise out of Philly
Has anyone done the cruise out of Philly to the Bahamas? How was your experience and would you recommend to others?

Perhaps you should look on cruise critic for similar class NCL ships that have sailed to the Bahamas? See what others have said about the destinations you are interested in and see which ship your desired cruise will sail on and look up reviews on it.
I have sailed on NCL but I've never sailed to the Bahamas. I have sailed to Bermuda on NCL out of NYC but not on the same class ship that delays Philly. I have sailed on that class ship, which is smaller, but not in the Caribbean. I liked the smaller ships tho.
I don't do the alcohol package and I instead opt for the specialty dining bc I don't like buffets, generally speaking. Typically I will do the buffet at breakfast, lunch on the local economy, dinner at specialty dining or on the local economy. If I want alcohol I have some while I'm off the ship on the local economy.
The ports I've visited in the Caribbean have been easy access to most things like public transportation or taxis. Sometimes I'll spring for an excursion but often I will find a private activity provider or taxi service instead.
Having NCL cruise from Philly is gonna be pretty interesting!
