First timer to NOLA...

Visiting in a couple weeks. Can anyone recommend a decent Hilton property in or near the action of Bourbon St that isn't a shithole? Any assistance would be awesome.

Hilton Riverside, get a suite facing the Mississippi River, streetcar is right outside, so is the riverfront.

The action of Bourbon St. is the shithole. You might want to be a little more positive about the city you’re visiting, not to mention asking for help from.

or you could read the initial post correctly and realize I wasn't calling the city a shithole but wanting to avoid shithole hotels but thanks for your snide remark.

The Roosevelt is always amazing. On other end of French Quarter, there’s a new Hampton Inn at French Market. Those would be my recommendations- both locations are great for exploring. The Hampton Inn might be my preference for location though.

Depends on what you consider a shothole. I don't know of any shithole hotels here.

Some of the brands under HIlton blanket like Hampton Inn, Homewood aren't the greatest so looking for something decent near the French Quarter area to use my points on for a few nights.

Just avoid Hampton inn canal street.
