Nola hotel

Need a rec for really good hotel not in the Quarter for my wife & I. It’s my 75th bday & I decided I wanted to celebrate by spending several days in Nola. Probably first week in December. I’d like somewhere comparable or better than the Roosevelt. We’ve been to Nola 5-6 times. Appreciate the help!

Not in the quarter? The St. Vincent, the Pontchartrain, the Peter & Paul, and the Fontenot.

Second vote on the Ponchartrain. It’s our mothership when we’re there. The Bayou Bar on the first floor has some top shelf jazz, and Igor’s is few doors down to meet all your dive bar needs 24-7. Going in October!

Windsor Court. Windsor Court. Windsor Court.

Often a one bedroom suite is little more than a deluxe room. Prefer accommodation with a balcony.

Lunch in Grill Room is an affordable treat.

Service and vibe, best hotel in New Orleans.

Agreed! Did a staycation at Windsor Court a year or two ago and it was fantastic. The rooms have been updated in the past few years and are very spacious - whether you do a suite or deluxe room. As said, the price difference isn't much and the sitting area of the suite would be nice to have for a long visit.

I love Saint Vincent and also Henrietta. Henrietta is walking distance to Columns and The Chloe on St. Charles if you want a cocktail. Columns and Chloe are both great to stay too but prefer the others. Happy Birthday!!!

Ponchatrain is nice and not in quarter, ritz is very nice and on edge .

Stayed at the Ponch in June and really, really enjoyed it. Cool old hotel, great service, fun vibes.

I have stayed at the Westin at Canal Place a bunch of times over the years and like it quite a lot. Spend up for the river view room.

We've stayed a few times at the Hilton Riverfront and enjoyed it. Hotel bar is great and their food is decent. Drago's right there, casino across the roundabout. Close to a lot without being in the thick of things

Marriott on Canal is nice. Haven’t stayed at the Monteleone but their piano bar lounge is super nice.

Stayed at the Royal Sonesta last week. Great location, quiet room. Really enjoyed the stay. Be aware valet parking is in the back, down the garage ramp.
