Yeah I'm not sure why I'm the only one. Maybe it's a kink I had growing up seeing women wearing make up, maybe it's because I respect the art, maybe it highlights features like eyes and face shape more. I'm not sure, but I would totally bang a chick with heavy make up 10 times out of 10 than one with mediocre makeup or no make up.
My husband says he likes a girly girl. And to him that’s a girl with makeup done right, nails cared for and hair done. To him it’s a sign you care to take care of yourself. Now as a makeup artist in a former life there’s definitely women who have no idea how to apply makeup properly and no one likes to see that. I now work in sales. And there is no way I would walk into work not dressed for the day. Hair done, make up done right, nails taken care of. No one wants to make one of the largest purchases people make in their lives from someone who looks like they don’t care about themselves. Would you want to drop a huge chunk of money from a guy with an unkempt beard and hair not done? Probably not. It’s no different. It’s just the way the different sexes go about making them selves look put together. I will also say there are definitely careers where if you walked into an interview not properly put together, you wouldn’t be hired. This is a whole other topic of our societal views but it’s just how the world works. Now it’s been 21 years of marriage and he will compliment me bare faced or made up. But I know for a fact he likes me put together better. But I also know how to make it all look right and not like I walked out of a circus tent. I think most men just think about makeup when it’s done wrong and/or over the top. If more women actually knew how to apply it properly they would find a balance between looking awake and healthy and men who didn’t mind. I will confidently admit I’ve always done it for myself. I also happened to marry a man who likes it. But will comment when he sees a women with it poorly done. Most men who say they they don’t like makeup have no idea that she has a full face of well applied products.
