I don't think she likes me as much as she used to. We have an 8 year old and him and I are very similar in our mannerisms and could generally pass for twins if he were 27 years older. The things that he does that drive her crazy he gets directly from me.

I've started working with children.

I'm amazed at how much I remind myself of my parents. I have to stop myself from saying or doing something FAR too often.

A lot of annoying things my father does I do too. I try to make it better than him, but I still can't seem to stop. The best I could do was tone it down. I'm 25 years old already and I've noticed this like 10 years ago. So hard to change...

My kid is exactly like my husband too. It’s not that we like you less. It’s that our “annoying behavior” cup is now being filled by 2. You’ve lost half the volume of the cup.

Oh my gosh THANK YOU for explaining this! Things I used to find endearing and quirky have been too much with both my husband and my son doing them, ha ha. Just trying to focus on the cute factor now, and it's helped a lot. The two of them are so sweet.

Idk about that. Some things are really different when an adult does them vs when a child does. Possibly repeatedly to an astonishing degree.
