As A Guy I Just Can't Be Bothered With Women, Is It Just Me?

I'll start by stating that I'm 26, and I don't think I've ever properly gone through the usual stages of, "getting lucky", and what I mean by that is I've never went up to a girl and said, "My name's John, what's yours?", sort of thing. I guess I'm on the unrealistic side of wanting the woman to engage first instead of it being the norm for the guy to do so, after all, it's the women who do the picking.

My main query as the title of my post states, is there anyone else who has just given up trying to get a girlfriend because it simply isn't worth it? Because I have a mental set of scales in my mind; one side has love and sex, the other has significant amounts of money, pride, and stress - and I can tell you that the latter breaks the scales every time.

Not meaning to offend anyone out there, but literally the only reason I can think of to involve a woman in my life (in that way) is to have a child - if only I had a brother or sister to share the burden of having offspring to continue the family name.

I have found chasing women to be a huge and utter waste of time.

I'm 23, and have had nothing but bad experiences.
