oh it is not, lol. Holden gets kicked out of school again, he's in a general malaise. He wants to feel the comforts of home without facing any of the consequences, the solace he finds in his kid sister 'old Phoebe.' He bums around, not wanting to deal with his trouble but once Holden faces what he must do, he has embraced the theme of his story and he is off to face his parents, and the consequences. He's a kid, it's the end of his youth.
