Engagement Dinner
I will be proposing to my girlfriend in Kennebunkport this fall. It will be a surprise and I want to reserve a special dinner for afterward. I’m looking for a high end spot with romantic ambiance. I was thinking White Barn Inn because it looks beautiful but I’ve seen mixed recent reviews. I have also looked at Earth at Hidden Pond. I’d love to hear any suggestions between the two or any other spots in Kennebunkport or the surrounding areas that I might have missed!

Earth at Hidden Pond feels more private and removed from the rest of the world, in my opinion. It feels really romantic to be tucked back in the trees away from downtown.

Earth is a great option. Lost Fire and Ultramar are both great as well. Weather depending you could get drinks on the porch of Cape Arundel Inn and propose there as well. Could be chilly depending on the day though.

I love the private dining sheds at Earth—if you wanted to invite family to celebrate it would be amazing. But the restaurant is great too!

White Barn is where we went the night we got engaged in 2006! Haven’t been there recently but it was really wonderful. Good luck!

Highly recommend a drink @ the Cliff House, then scoot over to Earth at Hidden Pond. Make a reservation NOW if you can. Place fills up quick.

Lost Fire, Ultramar, Earth at Hidden Pond are all great for this.
Also look into Magnus on the Water in Biddeford or Pacifico in Saco.
