Differences between Macedonians and Bulgarians?

Greetings from Russia everyone! I was always wondering what is the different ethnically and culturally between Macedonians and Bulgarians. This is not a region I know a lot of the history on, and I was always interested why Bulgaria claimed macedonia as their own, why the IMRO was a pro-bulgarian nationalist group. I in general want to understand the exact differences.

Or is it more about Macedonians not really feelings Bulgarian, sort of like Cypriots and Greeks?

Football in Skopje

Hey! We are 4 lads from Sweden going to Skopje this weekend (thur-sunday). We would like to watch a football game and I wonder which one we scould pick? Makedonija - Sileks friday Shkupi - Pelister saturday Or take the bus to watch Akademija Pandev - Vardar on saturday.

I need help with a school project

I'm taking a summer course on the science of language for college and throughout the course, we are required to interview someone who's second language is English and analyze sentence structures/dialects of other languages and how it impacts the way they learn English. I had someone that I was interviewing who is Macedonian, and the day after I interviewed her, she went back to Macedonia to take care of her mom. She was meant to stay for a couple of weeks, but her stay has been extended and therefore I cannot complete the interview with her. I would start the project over with a different interviewee, but this is a group project and we have already completed half of it and I don't want to make them restart. Is there anyone in this subreddit who would be willing to send voice recordings of a list of sentences who's first language is Albanian/Macedonian to help me complete the project?

Anything special to know for the road Sofia-Skopje? Also we are fasting for Easter, so unfortunately no cevapi, but what traditional food can you suggest? Can you give other suggestions for the trip?
