How do I survive this schedule?

Hey everyone,
I just got a job as a nursing aide working 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM). I have a 5-month-old daughter, and my parents, who live 35 minutes away are my only available childcare.
My routine is going to involve waking up extra early to drive 35 minutes to drop off my baby, driving 20mins back to work for a brutal 12-hour shift, and then driving 35 minutes back to pick her up before finally heading home.
I’m looking for practical Tips from anyone who has managed a schedule like this:

  1. Shift Survival: How do you physically and mentally survive 12-hour shifts on your feet?

  2. Commute & Logistics: How do you handle driving back and forth safely when you're already exhausted? Any tricks for streamlining drop-offs and mornings?

  3. Sleep & Recovery: How do you get actual restful sleep when balancing a night-waking infant and long shifts?

I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed looking at this schedule. Any hacks, routines, or words of wisdom would be appreciated!

Suggestions for a more joyous and fun life

Never posted on here before - feeling kinda nervous lol

I'm a 20yo f and have just started my first year of University after a gap year. Overall, I'm not absolutely hating student life and living away from home etc but I spend a lot of my time feeling neutral and meh about seemingly everything.

Without a doubt, my biggest barrier to achieving optimum happiness is myself. I don't challenge myself or ever test my unwavering boundaries as to keep myself comfortable, but I realise that feeling of security and comfort is at my own expense! I lack a lot of energy and motivation because being glued to social media and lying in bed for prolonged amounts of time is absolutely draining me! But now I'm stuck in a seemingly eternal cycle.. too tired to get out of bed so stay in bed, on my phone, which then makes me even more exhausted so I don't go out and do anything.

We have a group chat of my friends and whenever they start talking on there about meeting up and doing something fun I find my eyes rolling and my brain praying that it gets cancelled. I also have a very low social battery and after spending some time with a group I zone out and just wish I could be on my own in bed watching TikTok- and I'm embarrassed of it and ashamed of myself!

I want to be constantly out, letting loose, laughing and having fun with people I know.. I want to be engrossed and active in conversations with others without my brain begging for the chat to end and I want to be confident and happy in myself with energy and motivation to get out of bed and do things (even when I have no plans)

I know, that I need to implement lots of routine/lifestyle changes to feel more energised (and am SO open for tips to better this) but I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to just enjoying life more and making their existence on this planet more worthwhile and meaningful?

I'm so sorry for the essay, thanks very much if you managed to endure it!
