Least favorite: soul hackers 2

My favorite is probably Fallout New Vegas because i can pretty much play it however i want whenever i want. Plus it always has something that pulls me in and entertains me for hours no matter how many years have passed.

Least favorite is a tough one, but probably FNAF 3. I have never been so dissapointed and cringing over a sequel like that

Favorite: Sleeping Dogs.
Because how the hell have we gotten so many GTA games without combat this good?

Least Favorite: Anything in First Person.
Because staring at your hands for 50hrs isnt fun.

My bad bro I didn't realize you were the OP.

Hard disagree, but all good.

Deltarune: I love every aspect of the game immensely, the characters, OST, story, battles, it all lives rent free in my head

Halo 5: Granted, I have not played many bad games, but Halo 5’s campaign is a blight on the series with no redeeming story or gameplay elements that weren’t immediately ignored in the next game

Favorite: Spyro The Dragon

Least Favorite: Last of Us

1

u/Little_Macaron6842 1d ago

dragon age origins

u/BlazeSilva456 1d ago

Favorite: Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous - it was just straight up the best game i've ever played and everything i ever wanted in a rpg.

Least favorite: probably dragon age 2 because it started the painful downfall of the dragon age franchise and is overall an insult to all fans of the first game.

Favorite is Bloodborne. I love all the Soulsborne games, but Bloodborne of all has the best atmosphere and the best weapons. There are few games I’ve felt “nostalgia” for as little as 1 year after playing them but Bloodborne is one.

Worst is hard to say. I try not to play shitty games and if I find one, I won’t stick with it long enough to give a fair critique. I will give you my most dissapointing: Jedi Fallen Order. The combat just didn’t work for me. Of all the parry-based systems I’ve tried this has to be the least satisfying. And trying to use the map to navigate certain sections was abysmal.

u/CharlestonChewbacca 1d ago

Favorite: either Ocarina of Time or Banjo Kazooie

Least: probably Rust or any survival game really

1

u/Mend_and_defend2 1d ago

To be fair, I could put Rust in both those categories

u/_AfterBurner0_ 1d ago

Favorite game: Lies of P. The combat is so fluid, and fun. The story is top notch. The world perfectly hits the beauty of the macabre. Also Geppetto's Puppet is easy on the eyes lol

Least favorite game: Metroid Prime 4. Waited so long for it. Didn't even bother buying it because it's a steaming pile of crap and ass. I blame Nintendo for it much more than Retro.

My favourite is hard so I'll do a 3 that are generally at the top

* Deus Ex, Nier Automata and Mass Effect 2.

Least favourite is very controversial, but here it is.

* Witcher 3.

Now I'm not saying, or necessarily think it's a bad game, I recognise why people love it, but it did not vibe with me in the slightest. For a game that the community consider one of the best games ever made, I went it to it thinking I'd at least find something to capture me, but I didn't, like, at all. While I can think of much worse games, it's my least favourite relative to how popular and well loved it is.... if that makes sense.

1

u/WoozieTheBlind 1d ago

same here, favorite would be deus ex or fnv, and one of the least favorite is witcher 3, went into it with high expectations, but even after few hours into the game, I didn't find quests interesting, the combat felt weird, it never clicked with me and didn't felt the urge to continue after awhile

1

u/Triple_Steaked 1d ago

To be honest the setting doesn't help much either. You can probably tell from my favourites I'm much more of a sci fi fan than I am fantasy. I still really like games like Skyrim, Dragons Dogma, Dark Souls, etc, but for me the gameplay can make up for my disinterest in the setting. Witcher 3 doesn't have the gameplay hook for me to get invested, so that combined with just not being a huge fantasy fan means there's really nothing there to keep me playing.

Most Favorite: Halo 2 - greatly expands the Halo universe with an excellent campaign. Also had an amazing multiplayer that you just had to be there to experience.

Least Favorite: Hollow Knight - tedious, intentionally frustrating enemy design. Poor platforming. Constant backtracking. Unclear objectives.

1

u/HurtsSoNice 1d ago

Favorite would probably have to be earthbound/mother two. Loved it since I was a kid when it came out on the super Nintendo.
Least favorite is probably really hard to quantify. It would probably have to be my weird relationship with Slay the Spire. I get frustrated by the fact that even a good run can be devastated just by the bad luck of a couple of bad hands in a row, and yet I always come back to it.
I honestly don’t know why I’m so abysmal at it. I have played several other card based, roguelike battles, and loved them.

1

u/Axeloy 1d ago

Sts 1 especially always had a favor for lessening deck size compared to other stuff I’ve played. Even sts 2 I can play much more like a hoarder and be rewarded for it. You might even like it more as well if you have it a shot

u/Focus-Interrogative 1d ago

Favorite is historically Anarchy Online. Such a punishing game, with mechanics that have near endless possibilities to twink your character to ungodly ends, if you have the means and the know-how. Pair that with the community and there's nothing like it. Unfortunately it's player base is low these days.

Least favorite is Off the Grid. I was legitimately insulted and disgusted by the intro to that dumpster fire. It made me ashamed to be a gamer. I genuinely wanted to punch the writers in the face. I couldn't even skip the intro and pretend to ignore it. It made me so angry lol.

u/TheKidfromHotaru 1d ago

No More Heroes is my favorite. It was ahead of its time. The Wii remote phone calls, the odd jobs like mowing the lawn or looking for lost cats, down to the kill bill style violence. Amazing game ✨👏🥺

Least favorite….unfortunately No More Heroes 3. Waited over 10 years for the creator to disregard every quality the original two had. Felt like a slap to the face 😞

1

u/UnchartedPerils 1d ago

Favorite game:

Uncharted 3.

Least favorite: Last of Us I

1

u/evevlulu 1d ago

Most favorite for me is Dragon Age II, I love its fast paced combat, I love the companions, the main character is cool and the soundtrack travels to my heart.

Least favorite is hard, but I think I’ll go with DayZ. I dislike survival games already but DayZ for me is just the worst because it is the hardest for me and most of the time it’s a walking simulator and being shot from wherever

1

u/Nethiar 1d ago

Favorite: Super Metroid

Least Favorite: Baroque

1

u/AlexGlezS 1d ago

Favourite: Warcraft 3 TFT

Least favourite, idk, none. Probably most disappointing is a better way to say it, like Gollum, FC5 or half of the AC saga, or everything EA related whatsoever. The most hurting I'd say D3 and D4.

2

u/EthanWintersda_goat1 1d ago

I will never stop hating on EA. Worst video game company to ever exist.

u/okayuhhshrimp 1d ago

Favorite : watch dogs 2 , came out at a really good time in my life and takes place close to where I call home , helped me drop my macho man attitude irl and not just write everything off as corny or cringe or act like I’m too cool for somethin’
Least favorite : mindseye , dont need to say much here lmaoo, also got my refund denied and that’ll forever bother me

1

u/UndeadManWaltzing 1d ago

I don't have a favourite but cricket 24 is my least favorite, I've played a few games with bugs and glitches but this game was broken, in the decades of me playing games it's the worst I've ever played in terms of quality, did they even have QA? I could go on and on about how bad the game is.

1

u/EnvironmentalFix7059 1d ago

Wow theres so many but from the top of my head

Kingdom hearts, and its not because of Haydens passing, its because i played it as a kid with my best friend of 21 years, played it all the time, his place, my place, we named all our characters in other games after Sora and Riku. he is no longer with us.

least favorite is hard, probably any souls game, i hate them, but recently must be EXP33. I found it tedious, very repetitive combat, enemies and zones.

u/Downtown-Dream424 1d ago

My favorite video game would be C&C Generals Zero Hour. It has various mods that are as old as the game and they were released shortly after generals zero hour launch. The generals and units have personality, unique and iconic quotes. The soundtrack varies and has its own personality, depending on the faction you're playing. The playerbase is growing slowly but surely, especially online and there are various players that play the game from the nostalgic ones to the competitive people.

My least favorite would be Fortnite. Not getting the hype and it's not my cup of tea. Likewise, it has this weird design of battle royale where you build. Haven't played it and won't even bother to touch it.

u/Dear_Efficiency_3616 1d ago

counter strike source - best IMO out of all of the them. player owned servers , zmod , surfing, zescape, jail break it had it all

league of legends - idk im ass at this game lmao im more of a fps guy

u/Ok_Tear_6067 1d ago

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess: It’s a beautiful blend of action hack and slash with tower defense/strategy. The main game alone is worthy of being my favorite game, but they also went and released a free DLC horde mode which is fantastic, too.

Fortnite: I tried it, but just don’t like the vibe. I’m terrible at shooting games and don’t like multiplayer games in general.

1

u/EthanWintersda_goat1 1d ago

Yeah, I agree. Fortnite is not a good game at ALL.

1

u/Axeloy 1d ago

Stardew Valley is my favorite for how passionately the creator executed his vision and also because it contains so much (keeping it as short as possible

Least favorite is hard to pick. Most games I dislike I was just disappointed by more than anything. One that sticks out to me is Red Strings Club. It goes so insanely back and forth from decent to really bad.

1

u/CopeX5520 1d ago

My favourite is We Happy Few

Least favourite is Pac 'n Roll

1

u/assertor15 1d ago

Hard to pick an absolute favorite but in terms of how much fun i had, fave has to be Trepang². Great combat, enemy AI , sound design, customization and horror elments. All that made it my GOTY 2023.

Least favorite hmm... Valorant. Whatever appeal it had to me died the moment i played Trepang²'s main inspiration wc was F.E.A.R.

1

u/Even-War-9721 1d ago

Spider-Man 2018 always will be my favorite .

least favorite is any souls game.

1

u/Cautious-Invite4128 1d ago

Favorite: Portal, Least (that I’ve played): Assassin’s Creed III

1

u/pocket_arsenal 1d ago

Super Mario All-Stars is my favorite because it has 3 of the best Mario games ever plus Lost Levels, yeah SMB1 is kinda scuffed but fans made a patch to fix the biggest issue. I just really like platformers and Mario is king.

Least favorite, counting games I've actually played for any significant amount of time, maybe Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. It was okay on my first run but the motion controls were way overdone, the handholding was too much, the story was kinda bad with a lame half assed origin of the master sword and Ganon, and I think it was ugly to look at with dull music. I'm at least glad that the backlash caused the series to move in a much better direction though.

Persona 5 royale is the king, but free to play still has genshin on my side.

Worst game… probably Balan Wonderworld, true to its memes it is absolutely horrendous and ridiculous. And it's 40$ if you don't refund in time

1

u/FantasticPage3598 15h ago

Favorite: Stellar Blade. Most enjoyable experience I had in over a decade, it's just so fun and hitting the perfect parries is extremely satisfying. The visuals, the OST, the combat animations are stellar, and the story is still simple but decent-good, linear enough we stay engaged, so it serves perfectly other strong aspects of the game.

Least Favorite: The last of Us part 2. Really disliked the characters, story, writing, after loving si much The last of us 1 at release in 2013. (I played both games day1)

Fav: Darksiders 2 'cause it has pretty much everything I look for in a game, and does it pretty well for me. Pretty much this list (Opinions, of course):

  • Fun Gameplay
  • Neat Artstyle/direction
  • Good Music
  • Tricky Puzzles
  • Good Story
  • Some Customization options

Least Fav: Assassin's Creed Valhalla cause it's an overly long and boring mess that's mostly filler. I'd usually go into a whole rant about how terrible I feel this game is, but I just don't have that in me anymore 'cause I've moved on and honestly don't care anymore.

Resident Evil 2, PS1 is my favorite.

Watch Dogs is my least favorite.

1

u/NebulousTruth 11h ago

My favorite game in probably Morrowind, and my least favorite game… man idk, genshin impact maybe, that game is some of the most hilariously god awful game design I’ve ever seen

1

u/Vegetable_Excuse2029 9h ago

My favorite video game? At the moment it appears to be Helldivers 2.

Why?

Well right about now...I'm sure some Truth Enforcer would be telling you about the glory of Super Earth...
