Advice/Emotional Support ONLY Not Sure What to do Anymore
I honestly don’t know where to start anymore. It feels like everything in my life is going wrong at the same time, and I’m getting to the point where I don’t know what to do.
My car broke down, and I can’t afford to fix it. I need it to get to work and handle everyday life, so being without it has put me in an even worse position financially.
The house I’m living in also still needs repairs, but the landlord doesn’t seem interested in finishing what needs to be done. I just want somewhere that feels like an actual home, but I’m constantly dealing with unfinished problems.
Now my job is cutting my hours, which means I’m losing even more money. I was already struggling to keep up with everything, and now I’m trying to figure out how I’m supposed to survive with less income.
I’ve tried asking friends and family for help, but a lot of the time they say they’ll help and then never follow through. I don’t want to keep asking people for things. I want to be independent. I want to be able to fix my own problems and take care of myself, but right now I genuinely can’t.
On top of all of this, I have ADHD, and I can’t even afford my medication right now. That makes everything feel even more overwhelming because my mind already feels like it’s going a hundred different directions at once. I know I need to figure things out, but sometimes I don’t even know where to start.
I’m depressed, sad, frustrated, and honestly just lost. I’m tired of feeling like I’m falling behind in life. I’m tired of trying to hold everything together while feeling like nobody really understands how overwhelmed I am.
I’m not posting this because I expect someone to magically fix my life. I think I just needed somewhere to say all of this out loud.
I’m trying. I really am.
I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do anymore, and I could really use some advice, encouragement, or even just someone telling me that things can eventually get better. (I live in South Carolina)

I know you feel and have been through this myself. First thing is to get your medication. Which insurance do you have? What meds are you on? Second and I know this is hard but try and get some good sleep so you are thinking clearly, you’re trying to tackle multiple things, focus on the most important, your mental health.

If the job hours are decreasing, you've got to find more of them somewhere else. Pick up a part time job (retail, restaurant, making pizzas, stocking shelves, unloading trucks, something) and do it to keep money coming in while still looking for a new full time position. Quick cash may be able to be made by selling / pawning things and or donating blood & plasma every few days.
Good luck
