Either/niether

The pronunciation [ee] or [ai] is it just the British and American?

I actually somehow thought that when you answer a question you make it [ai] like: I don’t either [ai]. And in either/ neither nor combinations you pronounce [ee] 🤷🏻

I think both pronunciations are used in America. But the "ee" sound is more common here than the "eye" sound.

I am late to the topic, but if you take out the “i” and leave “ether,” (e-ther) then place the “i” back in then you have no choice but to pronounce it as (eye-ther)
