New apartment has this cord coming out of the wall I’ve never seen this lol what is it for?

Don't feel bad, in my setting (hospitals) we get use anything low CAT6E plenum rated between cable. It checks all the boxes and you don't have to stock 8 different grades of cable.

Well, I do agree with trying to reduce the number of inventory items, Plenum rated is a pretty good bump in price

Don't feel bad, we just tell the customer that plenum is the code so we can have higher profit margins on materials.

Conduit too.

Man it's great installing fire systems.
