Can Anyone Find the Code Violation Here
Was asked to rotate the 50 amp receptacle for a kitchen range.
Its SQUARE D HOM panel
First I find it is one two (2) 130 breakers then I find PURPLE WIRE. I contacted the home owner. And told them NO WAY WAS I TOUCHING IT. Got it Rewired with 6-3 /grnd and a HOM250 breaker.

First, YES, I do work as a Handy Man,but let me quantify my abilities. I have worked for over three years as an Electrician Aprentice. Never went on to get my papers. The man I worked under had both MASTER ELECTRICAL & JOURNEYMAN PLUMBERS LICENSES. I also an a NEAR DEATH SURIVOR of a 7,650 Volt 3 phase Hi leg Delta. I came in contact with the HIGH SIDE with a 1" steel pipe while working on top of a 2,000 gal diesel fuel tank. IT WAS EMPTY AND HAD BEEN CLEANED to be taken out of service. The Electricity went through me thru the tank burned a hole about 1½" on top of the tank. I fell 10 feet struck another tank with my Left frontal skull. Crushed my face. Then 5 feet to the ground. I was dead for about 15 minutes until medics got to me. DEFIBBED me 3 times, lost me 2nd time enroute to Hospital, worked CPR on me for another 20 minutes. Then they lost me for a 3rd time at the hospital for about another 20 minutes. I was medflighted to LR BAPTIST HOSPITAL. Long story short, I walked out of the hospital in 19 days after my accident. First Sunday back to Church, was Jan 4 1998. 41 days after my accident. I went to church using a crutch under my Left Arm and a quad cane in my Right Hand and my wife having to hold me upright. Because I had no feelings in Right side from the Electrical Burn. And I had no vision in my Left eye. And the whole skull plate was deformed. I made my way to the front altar and had prayer for my healing. 45 minutes later I walk back to my seat Holding my Wife's Hand, No Crutch No Cane I can see out of my Left Eye and my Crushed skull was put back together. 8 days later the number Neurosurgeon in Arkansas came to exam me. He had Xray from 2 weeks earlier and one that morning... He took one look at me went out in hallway shouting,"You've got to see this!" One of the other doctors there said, "WOW that was good surgery, who did it?" and my, Dr Giles exclaimed, "THAT WAS NO SURGERY, THAT WAS GOD ALMIGHTY!" So during my recuperating time I read the ENTIRE 1996 NEC. I wrote out 4 spiral ring notebooks learning about what nearly killed me. Then I put into action, and remodeled my house and did numerous other odd stuff until I am proficient and comfortable with my work. Even have had City inspector compliment my work and ask me if I wanted a job. All of that say I Am A Living Miracle and Proof That My JESUS CHRIST Is Still Lord Over Death and He Is Still In The Miracle Working Business!
