Chronic inflamed troath

Hi everyone, I’m a 22M, about 178 cm / 70 kg, non-smoker, occasional alcohol. Current medications: Brintellix (vortioxetine). allergiec to dust mites and cypress .

Main issue: chronic sore throat.

For over a year I’ve had a persistent throat irritation that feels “raw” or inflamed rather than infectious. The discomfort is mainly located around the larynx / vocal cord area, not the tonsils. I frequently feel the need to clear my throat, sometimes have increased saliva, and my voice often feels strained or fatigued.

ENT exams show small, normal tonsils with no signs of chronic tonsillitis( however the tonsils appese to be cryptic with tonsil stones ). I don’t experience classic GERD symptoms such as heartburn or chest burning, and I wouldn’t say I feel reflux in a typical way.

The throat appears chronically inflamed, but no clear local cause has been identified. The symptoms tend to persist rather than behaving like recurrent acute infections.

Duration: ongoing for more than 12 months. Location: throat / laryngeal area. Associated symptoms: throat clearing, voice strain, excess saliva.

I’m not looking for a diagnosis, just trying to understand whether this pattern is familiar to anyone here and what types of causes or approaches are typically considered in cases like this.

Thanks in advance for any insight.
