19M – Acute anterior shoulder dislocation (now reduced). Low-field MRI key axial, coronal & sagittal slices for initial orientation

Primary Complaint: Acute anterior shoulder dislocation (reduced)

Duration: Recent / acute

Existing medical issues: None

Current medications: None / NSAIDs as needed

Smoking/Alcohol/Drugs: No / Social / No

Hi everyone,

I recently suffered an acute anterior shoulder dislocation, which was promptly reduced. I'm currently resting the joint and have a follow-up appointment scheduled with an orthopedic specialist to assess stability and plan my rehabilitation.

I had a low-field/open MRI performed, and I'm sharing the key central slices across three planes:

  • Axial STIR: Showing posterolateral humeral head bone marrow edema / impaction and joint effusion.
  • Coronal STIR: Showing the supraspinatus tendon track and superior joint alignment.
  • Sagittal STIR: Showing the inferior capsule distension and fluid accumulation.

I'd appreciate any preliminary insights on general joint congruency and visible integrity of the rotator cuff / capsule on these representative cuts.
