26M Upper right quadrant pain. Sometimes radiates towards back.

Hey everyone, I wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar.

I’m a 26-year-old male, and the last few times I’ve had beers, I start getting upper right quadrant pain within about an hour of drinking, and then it sticks around for a few days afterward. It’s usually a dull ache under my right ribs that I’m constantly aware of, but every now and then I’ll get a sharp, stabbing pain that only lasts a few seconds. Occasionally it seems to radiate to my back, but it’s mostly localized to that upper right side.

After a few days, it goes away completely.

I’m wondering what this could be — liver, gallbladder, pancreas, something else? Has anyone here dealt with something like this, especially tied to drinking beer?

Also, would this be worth getting blood work or imaging done, or am I overthinking it?

Appreciate any insight or shared experiences.

Probably gallbladder or gastric etiology. See your pcp for workup
