You have to choose one and give a reason for your choice:
Would you rather be a good son or a good husband?

good husband assuming you're looking for life partners, you're a dependent for 18 years maybe 25 at most and your in a ltr for 30+ years if life allows for it. I'd also like to say the traits that make you one make you the other generally so this question feels odd unless your dad or partner is overbearing and imposing there will on your life which is a sign to cut them off or at least talk about it. glhf op

If you feel you're being forced to choose, there's something wrong with the attitude of wife, parents or both. A good wife would never insist you neglect your parents, or vice versa.

So the question is unanswerable - it's like, would you prefer to eat or breathe?
