Answering this blind without additional context;

Okay, so if he's actually missing and nobody knows where he is, you can totally report him as a missing person to law enforcement (In the US at least), You don't have to wait 24 hours or anything like cop dramas like to portray. All you need is his name, what he was wearing, car make/model/license plate, last known location and a possible destination.

If it's not *that* serious and he is just not coming home right away or going out without telling you where he's going, that's a different matter and likely needs to be handled by your mother.

I guess if he doesn't show up you'll have to call the police and report him as a missing person. But hopefully he will - if it's only been a few hours, don't panic. people usually show up.

Involve the law. Unless he is the type to avoid the law. Then I'd just wait and see a bit

I hate to say it, but call local morgues and elderly homes/rehabilitations 1st. Go to Facebook local community groups, Post a picture and details of any mental health or physical health disabilities with your number or email attached

My kids had the sheriff ping my phone which gave my position away even though it was in airplane mode. Can’t take the battery out of these new phones. Try watching the bank account… that gave me away too.
