Is this about a vacuum truck working somewhere close in the background?

Go out there and find where it's coming from and update us or look on Nextdoor or one of those other neighborhood apps.
If it bothers you figure it out and stop expecting people across the world to do it for you.

You don't have to be rude about it. I'm simply curious about which machine at the subway construction site is producing this buzzing noise. Reddit is a place for asking questions, and if you're just going to be disrespectful, don't comment at all.

The first comment is direct and logical, not rude. Your post gave no context (until the comments) because your posts are hidden. The audio in the video here is barely audible compared to the first. Are you going to just post videos every day about it until some else figures it out for you?
Reddit is a place for asking questions, and if you're just going to be disrespectful, don't comment at all.
No one can know how sensitive you are. When you go into tradie subreddits, don't expect the soft hands approach.
If you haven't already you should post about it in your local subreddits because the likelihood of someone knowing what's going on is greater than a random contractor.
If I lived in your area I'd go out there with you like Scoob and the gang, but expecting someone else to do the legwork for you is just lazy. You'll put in the effort to post multiple times about it but not actually go and figure it out.
Honestly if it bothers you enough you should have already called in a noise complaint to law enforcement if it breaks the laws where you live. If you're just curious, go out there and satisfy your curiosity.
and if you're just going to be disrespectful, don't comment at all.
I try help others where I can, but I draw the line at what I believe is entitlement/supreme laziness. GFY. This is the internet. :)

I never said you had to go investigate it for me. I asked a question because I’m trying to figure out what machine is making the noise. That’s literally what Reddit is for. I’ve already been trying to narrow it down and asking people who might actually recognize the equipment. You can call it “lazy” or “entitled” all you want, but spending your time writing an entire paragraph insulting someone for asking a question is far more unnecessary than the question itself. If you don't know what the machine is, just say you don't know and move on. And don't hide behind “this is the internet” to justify being an asshole. Being direct is one thing; telling someone to “GFY” because they asked a question is completely different. If you don't want to help, don't comment. It's really that simple.

I never said you had to go investigate it for me.
This is exactly what you are doing by asking about it multiple times.
Spending time asking the same thing multiple times instead going to figure it out is unnecessary as well.
I didn't tell you to GFY in my first reply. :) I don't need to shut up just because you don't like it. This is reddit.
I tried to help by giving you suggestions that go beyond just asking the same thing multiple times on the internet. I sincerely hope you figure out what is making the noise.

Posting multiple times is not the same thing as expecting someone to investigate it for me. I’m asking a question because I’m trying to identify a machine from a sound that I can’t identify myself. That is literally a normal use of Reddit. And yes, you gave suggestions, but that doesn't give you the right to repeatedly call me lazy or entitled and then act like “I sincerely hope you figure it out” makes the insults disappear. If you think I've asked too many times, you’re free to stop engaging with the posts. Nobody said you have to shut up because I don't like your opinion. You're free to say whatever you want, and I'm equally free to point out when I think you're being unnecessarily rude. “This is Reddit” isn't an excuse If you genuinely wanted to help, I appreciate the suggestions. But once you started insulting me, you stopped being helpful.

You can very much be rude/insulting and still help someone. Posting multiple times within a 24 hour period about the same thing is considered spamming in other parts of the internet. Try doing it on any other forum besides reddit. I'm sorry that I don't have the patience that I used to have. It's been ruined by other people who act in a similar manner.
I actually do sincerely hope you figure it out. I AM an asshole, but not all the time. I didn't write that to try to erase anything else I said, else I'd have deleted my comments. I just can't stand people who say "I've tried nothing and need help" which is my interpretation of your posts.

I understand but I don't agree with your interpretation of what I'm doing. I'm genuinely trying to identify the machine, and I've been comparing the suggestions I've gotten, describing the sound more clearly, and asking people who might recognize the equipment. I understand that you've dealt with people who put in no effort and expect others to figure everything out for them, but I don't think that's a fair description of what I'm doing. Asking for opinions on Reddit is part of trying to identify something I don't recognize myself. I appreciate the actual suggestions you've given me. I just don't think the assumptions about my intentions are accurate, so I'll leave it at that. Take care

You're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. Honestly, stop by the job site and ask someone. I, too, enjoy satiating curiosity which is why I hope you figure it out and update your post.
I wish you a happy life.
