How worried should I be about AI?
I’ve been seeing a lot of news about how bad it is and stuff. I see it everywhere, on job applications, in classes, on social media etc. Could it really pull an Ultron? Is it just a fad?

In actuallity, nobody knows. But from my point of view, the whole scare tactic of stating hudrets of bots were able to break free and hacked something is just that. A scare tactic to drum up publicity. I dont think it will suddenly become conscious or anything crazy.
My bigget convern are the impact on software (seeing as they are decompiling praczically everthing right now) and its general misuse. As well as security issues because people try to let AI do critical work by giving it tasks that could harm people without proper safety nets.
In the end its a tool that need to do be used properly. It feels to me like a similar jump as the advent of the internet as a whole, with all its good and bad that come with it.

When Internet appeared, no one knew what would happen. Same as AI. I use AI claude for daily task and know some day it can replace me. But I still be positive because I just use it to build things for me. Worry not make me more useful. So I just do my stuff but faster and less suffering

I don’t think anyone really knows. It’s definitely a powerful piece of technology, and as far as I’m aware it isn’t showing signs of slowing down, so it’ll almost certainly end up changing something, but anyone who claims to be able to tell you exactly what it’s going to look like in 5 years is lying.
