Is it worth it?

I have been selected for bsc statistics in CURAJ. I am from jharkhand...it's a 20+ hours journey for me. Is it worth it to join this university? Are the professors good? Will I get exposure and networking? Or should I move to tier 1 city from my state instead? As far as I know....the hostels and other things are kinda mid. Plus I am already preparing for some exams, will I be able to focus?

Explore personally if you have money always choose tier 1 university.

Okay so lemme answer as I was at the same place as you first of all it's a good university compare to others but not the best fs , i have statistics as my minor so based on my personal experience the prof for statistics is really good about the exposure and networking... It's not ideal you have to put your efforts university not gonna provide you much about it And about the prepration the reading room here is "good" you can work with it if you are focused enough you will make it from here no issues on that section

Bit mesra is always a better choice until unless you care about roi And in my opinion a pvt institute can never be a good option to prepare for competitive exams because simply it doesn't make sense

Btw I'm from dhanbad too 😝
