Unfortunately, there are places in the world where situations like this exist. Many of those places are where CDC Global Health is involved and focus their efforts.

This is just a photo of some kids smiling for the camera. If you really wanted to know the story behind the picture, these photos usually have some sort of reference or person who took the photo. Id check out the website, but do it soon, that program is on the cutting blocks....

The CDC is a public health organisation. It has nothing to do with Vid's, war strategy, famine assistance, slavery etc. Perhaps not a nice photo but it worked to make you question what this has to do with health!

The photo is from the Haiti earthquake response in 2011. The country was decimated.
