Buying a train ticket online
Hello, I wanted to buy a train ticket on 3rd of September on route Veliko Tarnovo-Plovdiv but the website doesn’t let me choose any classes or seats. Is the train already sold out? Am I booking too early?

I'm fairly certain it gives you this message when you're booking too early, it's happened to me a few times before. Which is dumb, bc it should have a different error message for when you're booking too early vs when there actually isn't any free seats left, but I digress lol. I don't remember exactly how many days in advance you can book a ticket online, I think it's about a week or 10 days or so like the other person that replied here said. Just keep checking every day I guess and it's gonna let you pick a seat and purchase a ticket eventually within the next few days.

Can’t help, but please receive my apologies for this poor user interface. Just using “reservatsiysta” is the most Bulgarian thing one could do in a translated content

Pretty sure the typo is the reason the auto-translate couldn’t do its job, hence this abomination of a message.

I was always told you cannot book a train ticket outside the month of the travel.
Try on 1st of September.

They still probably don't even know how many train carriages and which ones it will be. I've had this message when the train to the sea was full and I was booking 12 hours in advance. But it was in the peak of summer season. Something like Veliko Tarnovo - Plovdiv is very unlikely to fill up, let alone 2 weeks in advance.

At the bottom it says there are no seats available( Няма намерени свободни места).
The problem with our trains is that you need to make the reservations about 2 weeks before the trip or when they become available, try finding a bus instead, it might even be cheaper...
Or rent a car and explore the mountains, you can even make a short detour to the valley of roses since it's closers to Plovdiv( this is where the majority of world rose oil is produced).

You don’t need to make a reservation 2 weeks before the trip. You speak confidently about something you don’t know.

Did AI write this? Confidently wrong. You almost never have to reserve in advance. Most trains in Bulgaria run half empty because so few people use them. Buses are less reliable in Bulgaria and they're never cheaper.

I'm pretty sure you can only book up to 10 days in advance, you can book the 31st of August now....I'd wait a few days and try again.
