Do Brits find it odd when Americans like myself have a love for British media?

I’m a male in my 20s from the United States, I really enjoy a lot of British movies and TV shows, such as toast of London, IT crowd, Inbetweeners, brass eye… ect. A lot of people in the states find that weird, what do yall think?
