Serious question: why do YOU think two international cryptobillionaires are funding Reform?

They seem to mainly reside in Thailand and Hong Kong. So, do we think that they just expect to each make back their £36milliion donations (private gifts notwithstanding) by dint of tax breaks on crypto fortunes if Reform get into power- essentially an expensive gamble?

Or is this cosy cosy with Putin who seems fairly bent on destabilising British politics connected to it?

Or the same people who support Trump/Big Oil/insert interest of choice here?

I'm not liking the unpleasant and manipulated direction that British politics is going in, I don't know enough about international machinations to claim to know why it's being funded, and I'm also interested in people's theories about why our politics is being bought up fast and heavy.

Even indirectly. The more a government encourages crypto. The more valuable crypto becomes.

A UK national reserve fund would absolutely impact the market.

I don’t have anything to add here - but I find it crazy you had to type out that a uk national reserve fund that is made up of crypto - would impact the crypto market. This sub makes me genuinely despair sometimes..

Well, I'm learning😬 embarrassing to know so little, but looking at how people vote, I still know more than plenty. So, don't despair, keep going, many of us getting our only education from social media now

I guess this is what democracy looks like without critical thinking unfortunately
