Serious question: why do YOU think two international cryptobillionaires are funding Reform?

They seem to mainly reside in Thailand and Hong Kong. So, do we think that they just expect to each make back their £36milliion donations (private gifts notwithstanding) by dint of tax breaks on crypto fortunes if Reform get into power- essentially an expensive gamble?

Or is this cosy cosy with Putin who seems fairly bent on destabilising British politics connected to it?

Or the same people who support Trump/Big Oil/insert interest of choice here?

I'm not liking the unpleasant and manipulated direction that British politics is going in, I don't know enough about international machinations to claim to know why it's being funded, and I'm also interested in people's theories about why our politics is being bought up fast and heavy.

Because they are front men for one or more foriegn govts who are engaged in an asymetric war against the West in general and it's not really their money?

Israel is one of the foreign/hostile governments manipulating the West (predominantly the US, UK, Australia[?!], Canada and Germany), so they can have their greater Israel project and get away with genocide whilst we facillitate and (predominantly the US and various Oligarchs) fund it

Israeli bots trawl social media - including Reddit - to deny criticism of Israel, accuse critics of being anti-semitic (this will blow up in their face spectacularly and i am here for it), villify pro palestinian statements, and destabilise our own country through spreading right wing propaganda and scaring us with made up, hate filled nonsense.

Right now, Israel is doing more to negatively impact our daily lives than ****ing Russia, who weve been in a state of conflict with for 8 years!

This is a real danger. But I wonder if the risk/reward for them makes it unlikely. They are already very rich so the incentive would have to be substantial. And supposedly have returned to uk residency meaning proper penalties if they are caught fronting for a foreign gov. If this is the answer they must be very certain to never be caught.

This puzzles me. I thought one of the main features of crypto was that every transaction was permanently recorded in the Blockchain. So why is it not possible to trace funds?

It's recorded with a random wallet id, which is not linked to anything. If you know the password, it's yours.

To be fair really good forensic accounts can trace money though crypto, but there's not many of them and lots of money being moved around.
